December 9th, 2005- Manchester, England TrackWorld Cup #2 sees alot of wood splinters, road rash and stitches. Apparently, I didn't touch wood when I said that I have never had a track crash to date in my career. This ended abruptly when I was involved in two crashes in Manchester. At speeds exceeding 50km per hour, landing and sliding on a wooden track does not fair well for the skin. Thank goodness I was OK and ended up with alot of road/track rash, splinters and a cut above my eye, requiring stitches. Preparation for the event was perfect, but racing is racing and sometimes things don't always go as planned. I am healing up well in victoria, and plan on racing the 3rd world cup in L.A., California Jan. 20th!!!
