January 11th, 2006- San Diego, California

On Monday January 9th, the World Cup squad of the Canadian National team rolled into L.A. to train together in preparation for World Cup #3 and the final selection race for the 2006 Commonwealth Games team. After spinning out the travel legs on Tuesday, the Endurance team (consisting of Mandy Poitras, Gina Grain, Martin Gilbertr and Zach Bell, with Coach Eric VanDenEynde) continued down to San Diego to take advantage of the nice weather and outdoor track that provided motorpacing opportunities not available in L.A. The camp has started out with some high quality speed training on the track coupled with endurance training on the road in the afternoons. Double workouts everyday will provide high volume combined with quality to taper down to the big event on Jan. 20th. Stay tuned!!!!
