Do you ever wonder what happens in these National Olympic team camps? Here was Gina's schedule: Tuesday, Jan. 23rd -travel Vancouver to Victoria -get picked up from ferry terminal, head to hotel, meet other members of the team of all disciplines: BMX, Paraolympics, road, mountain bike, and track. -go out for dinner, head back to hotel to get a good sleep to prepare for the next 2 days!! Wednesday, Jan 24th 6:30am- wake up, have coffee and breakfast before 7am because no coffee 3hrs before the testing 8:45-leave for physiological testing 9-12- at the UVIC lab. Series of testing as follows:
12:30- grab a shower at UVIC 1:00- grab a quick lunch at Bean Around the world: Yummy soup and paninni and coffee 1:30-3pmish- physiotherapy assessment, doctors assessment 5-6pm- Nutritional consultation 6-7:30- grab dinner 8-9pm- Canadian Olympic Commitee Pre-Beijing Information Session. This covered topics such as culture, pollution and temperature differences, site map, accomodation information, media control. 10:00- bed!!!! Thursday, Jan 25 7:15am- go to get blood test, EKG, urine test 9:00- another dr. appt, complete physical, further testing. 10:30-12:30- YOGA class!!!! 1pm- Media training session 3-6- Photo shoot, media camera interview 6-6:30- back to hotel, interview with Roadie www.roadie.ca 7:00- dinner and relax Friday, Jan 26th travel home
