March 23rd- Commonwealth Games Road Race Preparation Three days to go until the final day of the Games and, the final cycling event at the Games. Sunday at 9:00 the gun will go off to start the women's 114km Road Race. Since the end of the Points race, I packed up the track bike and hopped back on the road bike to continue prepping for the road race. The last week of training looked like this: Friday- am. rollers p.m Points Race Saturday- Easy 2hr spin/ Sunday- 3.5hrs including a 1hr criterium race, massage, hot/colds Monday- easy 1hrspin, massage, hot/colds Tuesday- 4hr ride with some hills, massage, hot/colds Wednesday- am. 1hr45min pm. 1hr 45min including Hilly Criterium race, massage Thursday- rest day, massage, stretch Friday- ride course, 1-1.5hrs Saturday- ride course, jam some hills to open up the legs Sunday- RACE DAY!!!!!
